RIVEN is a fusion of traditional Southern Gospel music with modern worship styles, characterized by rich harmonies, energetic arrangements, and lyrics that combine traditional faith themes with contemporary worship language. It features a blend of classic hymns, Southern Gospel, and praise songs, sometimes performed with live band and featuring both male and female vocalists.
Riven was formed in the fall of 2019 by Gary Brannaman, Scot Womble, and Gary Voelker. Randy Pryor was invited to join and the Quartet was established. The quartet has had some changes since then with the retirement of Gary Voelker in 2020. It was then that the remaining members changed the group name to RIVEN. Hunter Segers joined in 2021 to sing bass making the group, once again, a quartet. Then, in 2022 Randy Pryor left the group and Jeff Rudloff joined in 2022 to sing baritone.
The Quartet has traveled extensively across the United States and continues to extend its musical outreach across the nation. Currently we have plans to travel to Arizona in 2027 which will take us further west than ever before.
The group recorded it's first 2 projects (Listening for the Sound & The Greatest Christmas Present) at Studio 21 in Springfield, MO. The last 2 projects (On the Battlefield & That's Who Almighty Is) were recorded at Anthem Road Studio in Warrenton, MO.
Riven sings both original songs and covers of great Southern Gospel songs. Recently nominated for the Josie Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee…Riven won Duo/Gospel Group of the Year submitting the song, God Became A Little Lamb, written by Scot Womble.
This past year has seen several changes. Jeff Rudloff left in the fall of 2025. Keziah Segers joined us in the fall of 20205 to become the first female vocalist for Riven Music and Ministry!
Now another change has taken place in the Spring of 2026. Gary Brannaman has left the group to spend his time closer to home and with family.
The current formation of Riven is, Scot Womble, Keziah Segers, and Hunter Segers.
