What's HAPPENING
What a CRAZY week on the road this trip! It began with our iPad having lost our Music Library. NO music at all for our first concert! With a bit of quick thinking Hunter was able to download song tracks from the iCloud. Then, after leaving our evening concert a wallet went missing *panic*. But, with a little searching we found it. Well, there is more…. The road was closed because of an accident on or way to drop Jeff's car so we could travel on to Indiana. We arrived in Indiana at 2:09 AM and had to be up for the morning service. After having a bass vs bass battle with the Cameletto Quartet we made it through the Pastoral Installation service of Pastor Jim at Trinity Evangelical Church of Mt Vernon, Indiana. After a wonderful celebratory luncheon we gave an afternoon concert and then packed up to go to our evening service. However, just a short ways down the road the Ministry vehicle decided that it was needing some attention. So…we were not able to make it to our next concert because we were broken down at Love's truck stop in Warrenton, Indiana. Oh, boy! I wish that were the end of the story. Pastor Jim came with Daniel who owned a truck and towed the trailer back to Mt Vernon for safe keeping. AAA came and towed the Nissan to a dealership…but your's truly left his keys in the Nissan and wouldn't be able to drive home once we arrived back in St Louis…ugh!! Gary's wife brought their other vehicle to rescue a stranded quartet and take us home but we had to make a detour to the Nissan dealership and do some quick thinking. After finding very long and thin branch we used it to unlock the driver door. With the alarm going off (we didn't have the key fob which had been put in the drop box of the repair garage) we quickly extracted what we needed and got on the road home. Whew!! We arrived back at Gary's house (and our vehicles) at around 11 PM. WHAT AN ADVENTURE!
THIS WEEK ON THE ROAD
Pine Valley Full Gospel Church was our first stop this week. We had a great time singing and eating with these great folks. The concert even turned into a prayer time and healing service afterward. Can't wait to be back again!
Sunday morning we were in Mt Vernon, Indiana to join with Pastor Jim and the leadership of his fellowship for a Pastoral Installation service. After the luncheon we gave a concert to cap off the afternoon.
Sunday evening was cancelled due to our break down on the road. Pastor Bill understood and we will reschedule for later this year.
